Project Delivery Lead
Run 3–4 customer projects at a time end-to-end. You'll own scope, timeline, the weekly preview, and the conversation with the customer when something is at risk.
Apply for this role →About this role
You'll own delivery for 3–4 customer projects at a time. You'll be the customer's primary point of contact, the team's gatekeeper for incoming requests, and the person responsible for the weekly preview going out on Friday afternoon. If a project is at risk, you spot it first; if a customer is unhappy, you find out before they get to the partner.
This role is the operational backbone of the studio. We don't think of it as 'project management' — we think of it as judgement applied to scope, timeline, customer communication, and team capacity.
What you'll do
- Own discovery for incoming projects. Translate customer briefs into scoped engagement docs with clear deliverables, timelines, and prices.
- Run weekly delivery rituals: Monday kickoff, Wednesday sync, Friday preview-and-send.
- Be the customer's primary point of contact. Respond same-day on WhatsApp, weekly written summary, monthly health-check call.
- Spot risk early. If a project is going to slip, raise it with the team + the customer 1 week before, not 1 day after.
- Maintain capacity + utilisation reports for the team. Help the partners make decisions about new business.
- Run the post-launch handover for every project — runbooks, credentials, training, transition to AMC.
You should have
- 3+ years running customer-facing digital projects (agency, consulting, studio).
- Strong written English. You'll write 5 customer-facing summaries per week.
- Comfortable saying no — to scope creep, to ambiguous briefs, to bad ideas. Politely, with reasons.
- Numerically literate. You can read a P&L, estimate scope hours, track margins.
- Worked with technical teams before. You don't need to code, but you need to understand what an engineer means when they push back on a 2-day estimate.
Nice to have (not required)
- Familiarity with Linear, Notion, GitHub Issues. We don't use Jira on principle.
- Have worked on Indian SMB customer projects before (you'll know the rhythm).
- Some technical credibility — even non-coding background like a CS degree, bootcamp, or self-taught skills.
About the team you'll join
You'll work alongside the partners, the design lead, and the 4 engineers. There's currently 1 other delivery lead managing the other half of our customer book.
How we'll hire
- 30-min intro call — One of the partners. About the role, about your work.
- Paid scoping exercise — 3–4 hours. ₹6000. We give you a real past customer brief and you write the scoping doc we would have written.
- Half-day on-site — Present the exercise. Sit in on one current customer call. Meet the team.
- Reference + offer — Within 5 working days.
